With the New York Giants finishing with a 3-14 record during the 2024 NFL season, there was not a lot of light at the end of the tunnel for this franchise. Fans questioned owner John Mara for wanting to keep general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll for another season, but they are here for another year.
It is the fourth year for both Schoen and Daboll with this franchise. Despite a tough schedule, the Giants are showing positive signs during training camp before the 2025 NFL season begins. Could New York surprise people in the NFC during the 2025 NFL season? One former Giants legend thinks this team could be turning the corner sooner rather than later.
New York Giants Legend Believes That the Team Is Off To the Right Start In Training Camp
Former Giants super bowl champion Carl Banks covers the team for Giants radio. He said on his Twitter page on Monday about training camp so far for this franchise:

There have been more positives than negatives out of Giants camp. One of the most important things that has transpired other than rookie edge rusher Abdul Carter has been quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson has looked good and has been on the same page with wide receiver Malik Nabers. The Giants offense has not been good over the last couple of years, and it could have a different element in 2025.

It will be interesting to see how the powers that be react to the unquestionably better roster, but a record that will still likely be pretty bad (over/under 5.5 wins at most books). And the OL especially has a lot of questions still.

It will be very important for the Giants to have another good week in training camp. If there are more viral videos of Wilson hitting Nabers deep and also Carter wrecking the offensive line, then New York is potentially on its way.
