The San Francisco 49ers are going through an up and down start to their 2024 campaign.  Through eight games they hold a 4-4 record and are currently tied atop the NFC West.

Being .500 almost half way through the season was not what the reigning NFC Champions expected.

Now there’s a star player going through more off-field scrutiny.

With his “Make America Great Again” cap on Sunday night, San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa photobombed his teammates.  This brought back memories of Colin Kaepernick for many fans:

In 2016, Colin Kaepernick shook up the sports world with his protest during the national anthem. His kneeling during the National Anthem was meant as an objection to racism and police brutality.

He was told to shut up, play football, and keep politics out of sports.

Fast forward eight years later, and San Francisco star Nick Bosa was widely praised for his endorsement of a presidential candidate, Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Back when Colin Kaepernick made his gesture, Nick Bosa certainly had something negative to say about Kaepernick, as a resurfaced tweet for August 2016 showed him calling the former quarterback a “clown.”

Of course, fans were quick to take to social media to remind Bosa:

Guess he does have a history of doing that
