The Lamar Jackson sweepstakes are beginning to heat up with the 2023 NFL offseason underway. Jackson has been dominating the NFL rumor mill alongside Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers. After the Ravens used the non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson, speculation about Jackson’s future is at an all-time high.
Basically, what the non-exclusive franchise tag means, is that Jackson can negotiate and talk with other teams. However, the Ravens would have the right to match any offer he receives. A trade could also be worked out by the Ravens with another team.
Now, the major question turns to, what other teams could try to land Jackson? He could end up back in Baltimore, but many seem to believe that he will head elsewhere.
Four Teams Already Marked Off As Lamar Jackson Trade Suitors
According to a report from Vinny Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, there have been four teams already out of the running for Jackson. Those teams are the Las Vegas Raiders, Washington Commanders, Atlanta Falcons, and Carolina Panthers.

Needless to say, that is a huge chunk of the teams that are in need of a quarterback. But, there are still a few very intriguing destinations that could strongly consider making a run at Jackson.
Among those teams are the Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and even the Detroit Lions.
Lamar Jackson is without question one of the top superstars in the game right now. He has received a ton of criticism over the years, but he is better than most quarterbacks around the league. Anyone who decides to pull off a big move to acquire him would be very happy that they did so outside of a handful of teams with superstar quarterbacks themselves.

During the 2022 season with the Ravens, Lamar Jackson ended up playing in just 12 games. He completed 62.3 percent of his pass attempts for 2,242 yards, 17 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Jackson also picked up 764 yards and scored three touchdowns on the ground.
Clearly, the numbers were not up to par for what was expected from Jackson. However, he dealt with nagging injuries and missed quite a bit of time.
Expect to hear a lot of rumors in the coming days about Lamar Jackson’s future. It’s still very possible he ends up back with the Ravens, but teams around the league have a chance to steal him away.
