The Arizona Cardinals took a big chance on Marvin Harrison Jr. when they used their No. 4 overall pick on the former Ohio State standout. At this point in the offseason, it appears that the Cardinals are already reaping the benefits of their bold decision.
One man who’s all in on the Harrison hype train is none other than Arizona star quarterback Kyler Murray.
Arizona Cardinals News: Kyler Murray Has High Praise for Marvin Harrison Jr.
Harrison hasn’t even played a single minute in the NFL but already, he’s earned the respect and the admiration of his teammates. Murray, in particular, could not help but sing his new WR’s high praises as the superstar quarterback talked up Harrison’s potential impact on the Cardinals this season:
“I think that takes us to another level,” Murray said, via Josh Weinfuss of ESPN. “When you got a guy out there that is capable of winning one-on-ones, obviously he’s got to go do it and he knows that. We all know it, but as far as manipulating coverage and stuff like that, you got a guy out there that can do that and even if he’s not open, he’s open.
“I’m excited to be able to build that with him, but when he does what he does, yeah, I fully expect our offense to be top of the league.”
Needless to say, Murray is already very much looking forward to utilizing his newest wideout weapon.
Marvin Harrison Jr. Is Keeping His Feet on the Ground
Despite being a rookie, Harrison has already earned the honor of taking to the front of the wide receiver line during minicamp — a position that is usually reserved for stars and vets. It is clear how highly his teammates think of Harrison, who for his part, has made sure to keep his feet on the ground.
“I didn’t want to come in here with a big head,” Harrison said. “I knew I had to earn everything, so just simple things like that. Let them go in front as they rightfully deserve. And then they kinda allow me to go in front now because they understand what I can bring to the team.”
