Romance rumors began swirling in the summer of 2022, when Wilson and fashion designer Nicolette Dellanno were seen together at various baseball games in the NY area. Wilson confirmed their relationship in June 2023, telling reporters they had been dating “for a year or so” and that it had been a low-key relationship.
A year after getting engaged, on June 28, 2025, the couple got married at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City, followed by a reception at the Rainbow Room.
Zach Wilson Explains Jersey Zero Choice
On the second day of Miami Dolphins training camp, quarterback Zach Wilson unveiled why he’ll be the first modern NFL quarterback to sport jersey number zero. Wilson explained that, as a self-described “single-digit guy,” most low numbers were already taken, leaving zero as the lone cool option.
“I’m like a single-digit guy and there weren’t many single digits available,” Wilson said on the second day of training camp. “And I thought zero, I guess, was a cool choice. And I was like, I don’t know if any quarterbacks have really had zero before.”

Wilson admitted he hadn’t known of any quarterbacks who’d worn zero before, making his choice feel both novel and fitting for a fresh start in South Florida.
Though Johnny Clement famously donned zero for the Chicago Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1940s—earning the moniker “Mr. Zero”—no regular-season quarterback has carried the digit since.
During the 2024 season, Marcus Mariota briefly wore zero in Washington’s preseason before switching to 18, but Wilson said his pick wasn’t meant as a statement on doubters; it was simply about embracing something unique on the field.

Wilson emphasized that the jersey decision mirrors his revived confidence under coach Mike McDaniel. “It’s good to feel like you have some belief in somebody,” he said, noting that Miami’s organization made him feel truly wanted.
When asked if zero would stick, Zach Wilson left little doubt as he explained that “that’s the plan,” as he prepared to cement his latest NFL chapter.
