The Green Bay Packers enter the 2025 NFL season with questions on the defensive line. This was a unit that struggled to sack the quarterback a season ago.

Rashan Gary led the team in sacks with 7.5 sacks. There is no doubt that the defensive line position is still a glaring need for the Packers. With Dallas Cowboys defensive end Micah Parsons requesting a trade a couple of weeks ago, are the Packers serious contenders to trade for him? A lot of people seem to believe so, but it all appears to be smoke and mirrors for now.
NFL Analyst Shuts Down Trade Rumors Of Micah Parsons Potentially Being Traded to the Green Bay Packers

On Tuesday night on Twitter, there were a lot of rumors going around about Parsons potentially being traded from Dallas to Green Bay. If the Cowboys and the Packers were to get a trade done, it would involve multiple draft picks and a new contract for Parsons.
With fans trying to potentially get excited about this, one NFL analyst shut these rumors down. Michael Fabiano said on his Twitter page on Wednesday morning,
“If I’ve learned anything over the years, it’s that you can’t believe anything you read on social media unless it’s from someone you know and trust. All this Micah Parsons trade to Packers talk … when Glazer, Schefter, Rap or Schultz posts it, I’ll believe it. Otherwise, hogwash.”
It seems as if the Parsons to the Packers rumors may not be true at the moment. It would be a game-changer for Green Bay in the NFC if they did get the job done. During the 2024 season with Dallas, he played in 13 games. Parsons recorded 43 tackles, 12 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pass deflection last season.
The Cowboys may not want to trade him despite his recent trade request. It will be interesting to see if Parsons will get traded to Green Bay or elsewhere before the 2025 NFL season begins. If no trade, then this was all just a rumor.
