The LSU Tigers day have gone from bad to worse as little snippets of video from the sideline have slowed began to come out.
First, coach Brian Kelly went mad on the sideline for the majority of the game as the Tigers would go on to lose to the Florida Gators in rather ugly fashion. Kelly was not happy, and nor should the coach be as the Tigers are a team any felt would contend for the SEC. Now, however, the Tigers are fighting just to stay afloat with the remaining games left on the schedule.
Following the many tirades caught on video, the game ended with a conversation between quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and Kelly. Nussmeier was seen trying to plead his case and explain what went wrong on the final plays for LSU on offense. However, Kelly looked like he was having none of it, and frankly looked defeated as if he had been telling Nussmeier the same thing repeatedly.

Unfortunately, the incident between Kelly and Nussmeier was much more tame than another incident with receiver Chris Hilton Jr. The receiver is in his redshirt junior season and had previously large expectations placed upon him. However, between injuries and head butting with the coaching staff, Hilton Jr has not made much of an impact at all this season.

Hilton Jr was not the only player, as Kyren Lacy and Nussmeier also faced plenty of flack for their play on the field. However, the other incidents were not quite as clear as this one was, where the words Kelly is yelling become pretty clear.
Hilton Jr comes off the sideline and as he walks towards Kelly they begin to speak to each other, and then the receiver walks away. Kelly is seen screaming and saying, “Do not walk away from me, you are f—— uncoachable Chris, who do you think you are?”

The play in question that seemed to make Kelly angry to no return was a miscommunication between Hilton Jr and the play-call. Hilton Jr ran the incorrect route, when the correct route would have arguably allowed the receiver to get open for the reception. The receiver also jumped to attempt a catch previously and was unable to hold on during the hit, which seemingly upset Kelly.
The LSU Tigers have now dropped to 6-4, and with little time remaining this season, the best the Tigers likely can do is a solid bowl game moving forward.
