Yannick Ngakoue is all about the kids! Ngakoue has been particularly quick about getting involved with his new home town. He continues to immerse himself into the Indianapolis community. And I know he won’t stop here. On Sunday July, 31 instead of rushing the passer at top speed, he spent his off day hosting local youth for a Back-To-School shopping spree.

With the help of Coburn Place, Ngakoue was able to provide multiple children with needed school supplies. Coburn Place is a non-governmental nonprofit organization. They offer compassionate support and safe housing choices for survivors of domestic violence and their children. They provide a necessary service to a vulnerable community. 1 in 5 children in America are living in poverty. They do not have access to school supplies. Ngakoue was able to provide these families with school supplies like binders, pencils, and paper, he was also able to provide clothing. Many children go to school in the winter without proper protection from the cold. This will help make sure that will not happen to these ten children.

Ten local kids got whatever they wanted from Ngakoue. He did not limit them to necessities, he allowed them to get electronics and toys to entertain them for time to come. He helped make a memory that will last a lifetime for those children. This act could give these kids the confidence to make a difference in their own little community. Positive actions lead to more positive actions. Ngakoue has been spreading nothing but positivity since he landed in Indianapolis.
A Man with Two Sides
This philanthropic, genuinely amazing person is a stark difference from Ngakoue’s on field persona. It is so interesting to see someone who can flip a switch so easily. This kind of mentality is the exact type that is perfect for the Colts organization. Myself along with all Colts fans are happy to see Ngakoue both on and off the field in Indianapolis.
