“Y’all Really Would of Got a Kick Out”: Cam Skattebo’s Mother Breaks Silence After Son Faces Backlash Over WWE Appearance

Cam Skattebo’s mother has had enough of his son’s backlash. Now she finally broke his silence to defend her son Friday after critics blasted his recent WWE Raw appearance.

Skattebo got involved in a scripted brawl with Judgment Day at Madison Square Garden. A handful of fans got angry because he is currently recovering from a season-ending ankle injury.

But they might go too harshly, so Mama Skattebo has to enter the chaos.

Cam Skattebo’s Mother Fires Back at Critics After Fans Blast His WWE Appearance

The online controversy started after Skattebo attended the very recent Monday night Raw. The rookie running back sat ringside with teammates, sporting a New York Rangers jersey.

After Judgment Day lost their six-man tag match, the heel group walked toward their section. Things escalated when the NFL rookie stood up and shoved JD McDonagh with both hands.

Security rushed in to break up the scripted chaos. Fellow rookie Abdul Carter and other Giants teammates also joined in to back their teammate. If it were a normal visit to a WWE Raw, then fans didn’t mind. Critics are not buying the idea that the 22-year-old became part of the script despite being injured.

OutKick’s Dan Dakich literally called Skattebo a clown for risking his rehab after suffering an open dislocation of his ankle.

However, Giants interim head coach Mike Kafka had no problem with the appearance. Neither did the organization. However, fans on social media continued to criticize Skattebo for being reckless. So, his mom Becky chose to step in.

She fired back on X, defending her son’s character. “It’s a fun side quest (unfortunately) watching everyone really get to know who Cam is as he has fun streaming since he’s unable to train hard and play,” she wrote.

She continued, “He is a kind respectful human who’s CAPABLE of the ‘violence’ you see on the field but only uses it when necessary. I guess I should of started him streaming at 6 years old yelling back and forth with his brother for ‘screen peeking’ y’all really would of got a kick out of that.”

WWE champion CM Punk also defended Skattebo. Punk called Giants fans “stupid” for being upset about the spectacular appearance. The wrestling legend backed the rookie’s right to have fun during rehab.

Anyway, now we have some updates from the rookie himself. He shared it directly with his followers.

Cam Skattebo Shares Positive Injury Update During Twitch Stream

Skattebo shared an update on his injury earlier this week. He connected with fans on Twitch during a World of Warcraft stream and showed viewers his ankle progress.

“Ankle’s good,” Skattebo said during the stream. “Update, cat. I can even move my toes and (expletive). I’m getting better every day. Every day, chat. It’s getting better. I can move my toes, chat.”

The positive news excited his growing Twitch community since moving toes represents significant progress.

Skattebo no longer needs a scooter, though he’s still in a walking boot on his right ankle. Plus, his appearance on WWE RAW confirmed he can handle light movement, but full football activity is still months away. Most importantly, his ankle rehab is on schedule, no matter what the media says.
