The Philadelphia Eagles visited with a free agent and former first-round pick at the cornerback position Tuesday. The visit came a day after head coach Nick Sirianni called cornerback Avonte Maddox’s injury significant on Monday.
It is believed Maddox could be out for the rest of the season with a torn pectoral muscle.

The Eagles are quickly looking to find depth in the secondary. According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Eagles visited with William Jackson III.

The Cincinnati Bengals took Jackson with the 24th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He’s spent time with the Washington Commanders and played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022.
Jackson earned a 49.6 overall grade for the 2022 season. His highest graded season came in 2017, when Jackson earned a 90.2 overall grade. Jackson has recorded 205 total tackles, 51 passes defensed, and five interceptions in his NFL career.
