Can the Dallas Cowboys repeat the success of their team in the 1990s? During the ’90s, the Cowboys had the NFL leading rusher, Emmitt Smith. They had a good quarterback, Troy Aikman. Michael Irvin, a.k.a “The Playmaker” was a good wide receiver. We can’t forget about head coach Jimmy Johnson who guided them to many wins. His coaching reflected the love from that of a father figure and his firm yet the loving way of training and leading them has a lot to do with their past success. Dallas was one of the great teams of that decade and they proved this with their three Super Bowl wins in 1993, 1994, and 1996. The question, though, is whether they can repeat this success here in the year 2022.
To be very blunt, the Cowboys need a complete re-do. They need to clean house or get their players as well as coaches in line and on board. To put it plainly, the Dallas Cowboys need to get their crap together. Point, blank, period. The route they are going, they will never see the same success that the Cowboys players saw back in the 90s.

I’m not saying that the Dallas Cowboys are a horrible team but they are not Super Bowl contenders. This is what their fans want but they are not on that level as of yet. Do I think they can get there? Certainly. With a lot more hard work and effort they can be better.
It is just not going to happen overnight. Every team has its share of issues but the Cowboys are dropping the ball, so to speak. They aren’t all bad but they could be so much better. It is not anyone’s fault that the Dallas Cowboys aren’t as great as they use to be. The Cowboy’s current team players are decent enough but they could never duplicate the great players from the 90s Cowboys team. There will never be another Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, or any of the other great players from the 90s team.
With that being said, it is not about amounting to the previous great players. Rather, each player on the Dallas Cowboy team needs to find a way to step into their greatness. Fans of this team want so bad for them to be something that they are not. Maybe the fans are expecting too much out of a team that will never have the same success as the Dallas Cowboys of the 90s.
