Will Campbell delivered one of the most memorable moments of the 2025 NFL season. He did this without even stepping on a football field. The New England Patriots rookie offensive lineman went viral on Friday.

It followed his wild celebration at the Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat game at TD Garden. He ripped off his shirt and chugged a beer. Thousands of fans roared their approval during the moment.

The incident occurred during a team outing for the Patriots, who were enjoying the NBA matchup from a luxury box.

The Celtics cruised to a 129-116 victory over the Heat, but Campbell’s antics became the highlight of the night for many in attendance and millions more on social media.

During a second-quarter timeout, the TD Garden cameras panned to the Patriots’ luxury box, where several players were in attendance. While most of his teammates simply waved to acknowledge the crowd, Campbell, a Louisiana native known for his larger-than-life personality, had different plans.

The 6’6″, 323-pound lineman immediately grabbed the bottom of his shirt and ripped it off over his head, revealing his massive frame to the roaring crowd.

With the arena now fully engaged, Campbell seized the moment. He grabbed a beer, tilted his head back, and chugged the entire beverage as the crowd’s cheers intensified.

The jumbotron captured every second of the performance, and Campbell played to his audience perfectly.

After draining the last drop, he spiked the plastic cup on the ground with authority and pumped his arms repeatedly, further hyping up the already electric atmosphere.

Rookie quarterback Drake Maye, who has developed a close bond with his offensive lineman, filmed the entire shirtless spectacle from inside the luxury box alongside other Patriots offensive linemen.

The video quickly went viral on social media, with Maye and others sharing the moment that perfectly captured Campbell’s infectious energy and personality.

The Boston Celtics’ official social media account jumped on the viral moment, posting a clip with the caption “THIS IS OUR HOUSE,” further amplifying the reach of Campbell’s celebration.

Within hours, videos of the shirtless beer chug circulated across multiple platforms, shared by fans, media outlets, and sports personalities alike.

This isn’t Campbell’s first viral moment since joining the Patriots. Earlier in the season, he was photographed wearing an “I ❤️ Drake Maye” shirt in freezing weather.

This showed his support for his rookie quarterback teammate. It also showed his willingness to embrace fun and camaraderie.

Campbell is currently on injured reserve, recovering from a sprained MCL, which explains his presence at the game rather than preparing for Sunday’s matchup.

Despite the injury setback, the rookie appeared in excellent spirits during the outing, clearly enjoying his time with teammates away from the football field.
