Everybody knows you win your fantasy leagues in the late rounds. When all your league mates are sleepwalking through the last few rounds, you have the opportunity to make league-winning picks. Here are three stud wide receivers you’ll want to target late in your fantasy football drafts.
Isaiah Mckenzie – WR Buffalo Bills – Isaiah Mckenzie has impressed all offseason for the Buffalo Bills and there’s strong reason to believe that the best is yet to come. Mckenzie suffered an undisclosed injury at practice on saturday, August 27th. However, it does not appear to be serious and he’s worth the late round pick for your fantasy football team. Last year, in a week 16 matchup with the New England Patriots, The bills placed Mckenzie into a premier role due to injuries suffered by receivers Gabriel Davis and Cole Beasley. Mckenzie responded by catching 11 of his 12 targets for 125 yards and one touchdown. With Buffalo letting Cole Beasley go earlier this year in March and Mckenzie receiving a two year contract extension that same month. Even with superstar Stefon Diggs lined up on the outside, expect an excellent year from the speedy slot receiver in one of the NFL’s most high-powered offenses.
Romeo Doubs – WR Green Bay Packers – The Green Bay Packers picked up an incredible young talent in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft named Romeo Doubs. In his time with the Nevada Wolfpack, Doubs accumulated 225 receptions, 3,322 yards, and 26 touchdowns. Impressively, Doubs picked up right where he left off in college in the preseason. The rookie racked up 8 receptions on 15 targets for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Packers’ three preseason games. Entering an offense led by back to back MVP Aaron Rodgers and an immense amount of open targets left by All-Pro receiver Davante Adams, Doubs finds himself in a promising situation as an exciting young talent in a receiving corps containing players such as Allen Lazard and an aging Sammy Watkins who don’t offer much resistance to a potential big year from the rookie.
Chris Olave – WR New Orleans Saints – Similar to Romeo Doubs, Olave is another receiver who was taken in the 2022 NFL Draft. However, The Saints drafted Olave much higher, at pick #11 in the first round, and rightfully so. Olave put up incredible numbers in his time at Ohio State University, consisting of 176 receptions, 2,711 yards, and 35 Touchdowns in only 38 games. Olave is a special athlete and the New Orleans Saints didn’t take him highly in the first round for no reason. In an offense headed by a healthy Jameis Winston and opportunity being available with All-Pro wide receiver Michael Thomas dealing with another injury. Olave could see a lot of action in his first year as a pro. Olave is already listed as a starter alongside fellow receivers Thomas and Jarvis Landry, but if Thomas were to miss time, the rookie could see himself receiving a healthy amount of targets from a confident passer in Winston.
