The Buffalo Bills kicked off the 2022 NFL season on Thursday Night Football against the defending Super Bowl Champion Los Angeles Rams. It was a very hot and sticky September evening in Southern California. Josh Allen had a big test going up against a Rams team led by quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Miller’s Debut with the Bills
One of the biggest storylines of the game was LB Von Miller returning to Sofi Stadium to play against his former team. Dawning buffalo blue, Miller made an immediate impact with his new team. The 33-year-old superstar had two total sacks and a total of four tackles. He was mic’d up during the game.
The veteran was brought in to Orchard Park by the way of free agency. He signed a six-year, $120 million deal with the Buffalo Bills on March 16, 2022.
Josh Allen and Super Bowl aspirations
The Bills have had Super Bowl Championship aspirations for the past three-years or so under head coach Sean McDermott and quarterback Josh Allen. Allen has impressed the NFL world with his cannon of an arm and his ability to take off with his legs. The 7th overall draft pick in 2018 has done wonderful things so far.
One thing he has to finally cross off his bucket list is winning a Super Bowl.
What’s next for Allen and the Bills?
Up next for the Buffalo Bills is a Monday Night football showdown with Ryan Tannehill and the Tennessee Titans. The Bills have struggled to beat Tennessee for the last two year’s. They almost won last years MNF showdown in Nashville.
This year, the Titans travel to Orchard Park, NY after surprisingly losing to the New York Giants at home in week 1, 21-20. Meanwhile, the Bills will look to take advantage of a rare Tennessee blunder to start off the 2022 season, 2-0.
In order to defeat the Titans, Allen and the Bills offense will have to play a near flawless game. That means limiting turnovers, protecting the football, and execute the play-calling like they did last week.
