Jets Vs Falcons: The Good
During the Jets 24- 16 win Verses the falcons on Monday. The team showcased some good and some bad. They did only start 5 projected starters. One of the main standouts on the offensive side in a positive light was rookie Wide Receiver, Garrett Wilson. His stats weren’t eye-popping with just three catches for 15 yards. However, his talent was on clearly display. It provided a glimpse of why the hype is real around him. On a second down play in the first quarter, Wilson lined up left of the formation. He ran about a seven-yard comeback. Then, contorted his body to make a highlight catch that can be seen here below.

Chris Streveler and Lawrence Cager
Chris Streveler was the second Jets Quarterback to enter the game and he immediately led the jets on two touchdown drives. He finished the game 8/11, for 119 yards, One touchdown and one interception. His connection with Tight End Lawrence Cager stood out. Cager had three catches for 65 yards and a touchdown, All from Streveler. This 34-yard touchdown showed his speed at the position and makes him a tough candidate to cut in the coming days.

Notable Mentions
Jets Defensive End Michael Clemons was attacking all night. At one point, he drove an offensive lineman into the backfield and put him on his back. He ended up with three tackles. Defensive Tackle Jonathan Marshall had five tackles, two of them for a loss plus a sack. Linebacker Jamien Sherwood had four tackles and an impressive pass breakup. Defensive End Bradley Anae had a strip sack, scoop, and score to give the Jets the biggest defensive play of the night. Running Back Zonovan Knight returned a kickoff for a nice 38 yards.
Jets Vs Falcons: The Bad
Yes it is the preseason and the game plans are usually vanilla. However, Jets Cornerback Bryce Hall had a tough night. He gave up at least three catches including a 52-yard bomb to falcons’ tight end Kyle Pitts. He also gave up the first touchdown of the game. A couple of the catches he gave up seemed out of character. He stumbled when breaking on a ball, and he seemed to sit on the wrong routes. Once again, it’s preseason. These were just uncharacteristic plays. He is no longer a starting Corner for the team and provides good depth with starting experience. Hopefully, these plays were just a rare bad game.

In Conclusion
The Jets were able to pull out the victory against the falcons and had no major injuries. Cager, Wilson and Streveler stood out the most in my opinion. The Jets are now 2-0 in the preseason with their finale coming against the New York Giants in which the starters will play. Cuts are coming later in the day. Did anyone do enough to survive the five man cut down? Cager perhaps?
