The 2022 Raiders are an intriguing team for the 2022 season due to the additions of players and coaching-wise. With the changes the Las Vegas Raiders made in the offseason, they hope to compete in a competitive AFC West. The Raiders have improved with the offensive weapons for Derek Carr, along with strengthening the defense. Las Vegas has made the improvements but also has problems that could cost them a playoff spot. Las Vegas’s potential Autumn wind will be made by the potential positives and negatives this season.
Las Vegas Positives for 2022
Las Vegas has made many positive strides during the offseason by improving the team’s needs in offense and defense. Vegas, during the offseason, traded for Rock Ya-Sin to improve their secondary and help the youth. The Raiders also improve their defensive front by signing Chandler Jones to complement Maxx Crosby. With the defense improved, the offense need was a wide receiver and traded for Derek Carr’s old college teammate Davante Adams. Las Vegas improves the odds of winning and hopes to go all in for a Super Bowl with their roster.
Raiders Negatives for 2022
Las Vegas issues hopefully won’t be as chaotic as last year, but again have problems for this season. Las Vegas’ biggest concern that can cost them a playoff spot is the new head coach, Josh McDaniels. McDaniels, a former offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots, has a complicated past head coaching history. McDaniels hopes to use his experience to help the Raiders after purging Jon Gruden’s regime in the offseason. An issue with McDaniels was his offense in New England is a run-heavy offense with short pass options. While that playbook philosophy works in New England, it might not work well with AFC West defenses dissecting it.
The Las Vegas Raiders Autumn wind has many positives and negatives, and they can overcome them with the right playmaking. The coaching is a concern, but the players and their talent could overcome poor playcalling. The Autumn wind will start for the Raiders in September and hopefully will soar well into January.
