The Cleveland Browns have a 2-6 record, and they had a bye week in week nine. Cleveland will be preparing to face the New York Jets on Sunday.

Dillon Gabriel will probably be the starting quarterback for the Browns. However, head coach Kevin Stefanski will be giving up his play calling duties to offensive coordinator Tommy Rees. Last season, Stefanski also gave up play calling duties to John Dorsey last season because Dorsey was fired as offensive coordinator.
Cleveland Browns Fans React To Kevin Stefanski Giving Up His Play Calling Duties To Tommy Rees

Cleveland’s offense has not had much success this season. For the second straight season, Stefanski decided to give up calling the plays. Well, there are a lot of Browns fans who believe that this move is not going to matter for the franchise. Some fans believe that Stefanski is doing this to save his job once again and use the offensive coordinator as the scapegoat when things don’t go well for them once again.
This is what some of them had to say about this change on Twitter:
Giving up playing calling rather than have to be around Shedeur lmao, what a clown and what a blessing for Shedeur.
Kevin has failed dismally with his dillon experiment.

Was not the whole point of hiring Stefanski? Because he was supposed to be some sort of genius play caller. He doesn’t do anything else well. he can’t motivate, He can’t manage the clock. All he does well is put up with Haslims BS. Why is he here again?

How many times does he get to do this before he gets fired???

They literally can’t call shorter pass plays for Dillon without just pitching it to the RB every play. So, Shedeur must be coming in soon. Rees isn’t going to sabotage his own career.

No matter who calling the plays it’s the same plays and the same personnel doing the plays smh

If the offense can’t do much against the Jets this week with Gabriel at quarterback, many will wonder if they will play Shedeur Sanders or if they would rather activate Deshaun Watson and play him instead. It is going to be interesting to see how this Browns offense will operate with Rees calling the plays instead of Stefanski.
If Cleveland doesn’t win some games down the stretch, there is a chance that the Browns could potentially clean house at the end of the season. Stefanski is no doubt on the hot seat now after making this move.
