You might be interested in the weirdest NIL deals. You know about the collectives, and every college already has boosters. But these might interest you as being oddly specific. Some may even strike you as funny. But others are heartwarming, promote a cause, or push a point of view. But hopefully, you’ll enjoy it and share it with your friends.
DeColdest Crawford
An LSU running back promoting a Louisiana attorney.
USC Wide Receiver Jordan Addison has signed an NIL deal with United Airlines. (With USC realignment, I wonder if it’s for all those long USC flights to Happy Valley, PA, and Columbus, OH)
Travis Hunter, of Jackson State, has signed an NIL deal with a digital bank. He notably changed his commitment to an HBCU, on the recruitment of Deion Sanders. The Website lists him as a brand ambassador.
And last but not least another interesting one.
He’s listed on his official bio as “Kool-Aid”. According to numerous bios he’s been known as Kool-Aid for several years. It was a no-brainer for Kool-Aid to step up with an endorsement deal
You should really follow all this interesting news. It’s covered by a couple of outlets, but there are some really good, professional outlets that focus on the business side of this for the enterprising young athletes. I’d recommend Business of College Sports, also NILNewstand.com
Those are two very good newsletters to get, there’s another dozen or so and I get 6-8 every week. But keep in mind that this is new, almost experimental in NCAA football, so we’ll see how it works out.
