Ezekiel Elliott needs more blocking help
Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott received a brutal tackle during a joint practice with the Denver Broncos recently. The seventh-year veteran will be a crucial part of the Cowboys’ offense this season. However, after a recent video of a busted play went viral, it appears the team will need to get better at creating holes for Elliott.
The Broncos and Cowboys had a joint practice Thursday that had some pretty gnarly live hits. And Bradley Chubb was coming to bring a regular season-worthy smackdown.

That’s crushing. The offensive line needs to do better there. But man can Chubb lay some wood.
Elliott comes into the 2022 campaign seeking to replicate the success of last season. Elliott put up over 1,000 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns. He going to have to have more help with the offensive line than he did in that video to get there.
To be fair, Chubb can be a fierce defender. He’s had bad luck with a recent string of injuries. He showed there what he can do if healthy.
See Twitter reacts to the hit
Twitter had a few opinions on the play. It appears most fans were impressed with Chubbs’ physicality on the play but there was plenty of critique for Zeke.
Hey, @DoberFanPinschr, good to see the Cowboys OL still doesn't have the back of skill players after a dirty hit. No idea why none of those dudes got in the face of Chubb for blasting Zeke in a non-tackling practice.

Lol all the zeke slander but no one gonna mention the lineman jogging in at the end who clearly missed a block that sets up the cutback…nah just stick to the narrative I suppose 🤣

Don’t blame the O-Line!!! He clearly deviates from the blocking coverage..then Zeke’s weak cut back that deserves all the slander bro!! 😭😭😭

Right, you can see him start the double team, but he missed getting to the next level!
