The Washington Commanders poach a Chiefs wide receivers
The Washington Commanders expected big changes to their offense when they hired offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy from the Kansas City Chiefs. Bieniemy had a lot of success with the Chiefs, as the team went to three Super Bowls and won two. On Friday, the Commanders signed a former wide receiver with experience working in Bieniemy’s offense.
According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Commanders signed wide receiver Marcus Kemp.

Kemp was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chiefs in 2017. He had spent five seasons with the team. The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors product spent time with the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants since joining the league as well. Kemp had no stats for the Chiefs in the 2022 regular season. However, he did catch one pass for 13 yards in their AFC Championship win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Kemp was elevated for the Super Bowl.
