The Washington Commanders’ top three receivers in 2023 were Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, and Jahan Dotson. Samuel departed to the Buffalo Bills, leaving a vacancy in the slot.
The Commanders signed Olamide Zaccheaus to a contract. Zaccheaus spent his first four seasons with the Falcons and last season with the Eagles, playing 72 games with 24 starts. He has played 673 snaps in the slot vs. 650 outside throughout his career (PFF) and will compete for the starting slot position.

The Commanders drafted Luke McCaffrey 100th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. McCaffrey kicked off his CFB career playing quarterback for Nebraska in 2019. He didn’t pan out and transferred to Rice in 2021 for another shot at the quarterback position.
However, he struggled and converted to wide receiver in 2022. Long story short, he revived his career in the slot and caught the attention of the Commanders on Day 2. He will compete against Zaccheaus.
They also re-signed a Super Bowl champion receiver.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Commanders re-signed Byron Pringle. Pringle spent his first four seasons with the Chiefs, winning a Super Bowl during the 2019-2020 season. He also spent time with the Bears in 2022.

Pringle reunited with Eric Bieniemy in Washington last season. He caught 14 passes on 22 targets for 161 yards in 17 games, with one start in 2023.
