June is about to start but Von Miller remains a free agent. The two-time NFL Most Valuable Player, who last suited up for the Buffalo Bills in the 2025 season, however, is seemingly not ready to call it quits and walk away from the league. The veteran linebacker believes he can still significantly contribute to a team by doing what he’s been known for the most.
“I’m a locker-room guy through and through, and I can still roll out of the bed and rush the passer,” Miller said, per Arnie Melendrez Stapleton of The Associated Press. “That’s what I got.”
Miller was let go by the Bills last March in large part because of the team’s salary cap situation, as he had a huge $23.8 million cap hit in the 2025 campaign.
While his football powers have been diminished mostly by Father Time, the 36-year-old Miller could still be a useful asset for any team looking to shore up their pass rush – or at least provide depth in the linebacker position.
Von Miller not used to being vacant during OTAs season in the NFL

As Miller remains unsigned while teams are beginning their offseason practices, he finds himself in a position he’s not been in for a long time.
“Offseason’s been a little bit longer than I expected it to be, but that’s just how it’s supposed to be,” Miller said. “Whenever you have all this time, you reminisce and you think back about all these OTAs and these summer training sessions where you’re like, ‘Man, why I gotta be here? Why I gotta be here? OTAs, why I gotta do this?’ And now you’re sitting at home like, ‘Man, I wish I was at OTAs right now.’”
In 13 games with the Bills in the 2024 season, Miller had six sacks to go with 17 combined tackles and eight quarterback hits.
