Broncos Super Bowl winner Vernon Davis faces legal trouble as court documents reveal new details. The 42-year-old has been prominent since his 2020 retirement.
Davis built a strong 14-year career in the NFL. He recorded 583 receptions for 7,562 yards and 63 touchdowns across 198 games.

A criminal complaint filed on January 8, 2026, accuses the former San Francisco 49ers star of assault. An unnamed woman claims the incidents occurred during arguments about her pregnancy.
The first alleged incident took place on May 31, 2025, at Davis’ home. The woman stated that an argument over the pregnancy turned physical.
She claimed Davis hit her with magazines and books from under his TV. The assault stopped only when she began recording on her phone.
Davis allegedly offered her $10,000 in connection with the ongoing pregnancy discussion. A second alleged incident occurred on June 7, 2025, during another argument.
The woman accused the former tight end of slapping her across the face. She stated this happened after she questioned his honesty about the situation.
In a later recorded conversation, Davis allegedly denied that the slap ever happened. He reportedly said, “If I really slapped you, your face would be blue/black,” per TMZ Sports.
A judge issued an arrest warrant for Davis on January 8, 2026, on charges of assault and battery. He is scheduled to appear in court in February 2026.
