The Vanderbilt Commodores showed signs of progress this season in college football. Even though they finished with a 6-6 record, many thought they were not going to show signs of progress this season. Vanderbilt upset the Alabama Crimson Tide this season and almost pulled off an upset against the Texas Longhorns.

Another team that showed signs of progress this season in college football was the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the ACC Conference. Georgia Tech finished the regular season with a 7-5 record.
Vanderbilt Commodores Will Face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets In the Birmingham Bowl

The Commodores have a very good opportunity to finish the 2024 college football season on a strong note. They will face the Yellow Jackets in the Birmingham Bowl on Friday, December 27 at 3:30 p.m. ET. Vanderbilt winning a bowl game over Georgia Tech would be huge for this program.
Even though this isn’t one of the prestigious New Year’s Bowl Games, Vanderbilt wants to show that they can be competitors and in bowl games more often. Georgia Tech almost upset the Georgia Bulldogs before falling to them in eight overtimes over Thanksgiving Day weekend.
