The USC Trojans needed to address the cornerback position after losing their top four players to the 2025 NFL Draft. The Houston Texans selected Jaylin Smith in the third round, while Jacobe Covington signed with the Los Angeles Rams, and Greedy Vance Jr. and John Humphrey signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as undrafted free agents. Because their cornerback depth is weak, the Trojans could add talent in the spring portal.
