The USC Trojans were ranked heading into the Saturday night road matchup against the Minnesota Golden Gophers in BIG10 Conference play. This was a game that USC was favored in on the road against Minnesota, but the Golden Gophers pulled off the upset over the Trojans 24-17.
This was a bad loss for Lincoln Riley and USC. The Trojans and the Golden Gophers are both 3-2 on the season. With the loss, the USC Trojans dropped out of the Top 25 in the AP Poll ahead of the Penn State Nittany Lions matchup next week.
USC Trojans Fans Are Upset With Head Coach Lincoln Riley And Want Him Fired
Lincoln Riley is in his third season as the head coach of the Trojans. In 2022, they went 11-3. In 2023, they went 8-5. USC appears to be heading for a 7-5 and 6-6 regular season under Riley. The fans have had enough of him and wanted him fired. This is what some of the fans had to say about him:

It will be interesting to see what happens with the Trojans moving forward. It is a surprise that USC lost to Minnesota and also the Michigan Wolverines on the road in BIG10 Conference play. Just a week ago, they defeated the Wisconsin Badgers at home.
Penn State Nittany Lions Matchup
If USC can pull off an upset against the #4 Penn State Nittany Lions next week, it may be a different conversation for Lincoln Riley and company. However, the Trojans’ chances of being a playoff team are fading away already.
Penn State looks like a team that will most likely head to the playoffs this season and be a contender for the BIG10 title. This is a game that could have Penn State on upset alert after what happened this past weekend in college football, but fans are not happy right now with Riley.
