The Green Bay Packers will have a new team president before the start of the 2025 NFL season. Mark Murphy will be retiring, and Ed Policy will be the new team president.

With this being the case, Policy has mentioned that he is not committed to giving Packers head coach Matt LaFleur and general manager Brian Gutekunst a new contract extension for now. Ari Meirov, an NFL analyst for the 33rdteam, said in his Twitter page,
“The #Packers have a rule that team presidents must retire at age 70. With Mark Murphy turning 70 on July 13, Ed Policy is set to take over — marking a significant leadership transition for the organization.”
This is a very good rule that the Packers have in place. With that being the case, there is no doubt that there some fan reactions as well.

Packers fans saw what Meirov had to say about Murphy retiring at the age of 70 from the team. A lot of Green Bay fans think that also needs to happen within the US Government circles as well. This is what some fans had to say on Twitter:

Need to do this with politicians

There are a lot of old politicians in congress, the senate, and elsewhere. Joe Biden and Donald Trump have been the last two presidents of the U.S.A., and they were also not young. It is understandable why Packers fans are thrilled as to why they have the age rule in place for team presidents. Going from Murphy to Policy will be a good thing for Green Bay.
If the United States Government can do the same thing, it would be in a better spot. People can not be a President of the country until the age of 35, but they shouldn’t be older than 70 years old either. This is an interesting point by Green Bay fans and they are right about that.
