This offseason there hasn’t been a bigger promoter for the Miami Dolphins then Tyreek Hill. Since joining Miami, he has been quoted saying lots of unpopular things. From comparing Tua Tagovailoa to Patrick Mahomes or head coach Mike Mcdaniel and his play calling. This week he might’ve said something that can get people talking again.
This week when talking about his relationship with his new tight end Mike Gesicki, Hill said ” It’s definitely important, you know ……..that’s why I’m always in Mike’s ear.” He continued by saying “Next time you interview him just ask him, how aggravating is Tyreek? ……… He will tell you man Tyreek is like literally in my ear all the time about the greatest tight end.” Referring to Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelce.
“Kelce was my best friend on the Kansas City Chiefs, we hung out together. We did lots of things together.” Hill said about his relationship with Travis Kelce. “I told him I needed the same relationship for him……..when I came here I want you to my best friend.” Hill said about his feelings toward his tight end.
Mike Gesicki could benefit from that relationship with Hill to help improve his game. Gesicki is in an interesting situation with Tyreek Hill who knows how to play with an elite tight end and a coach who knows how to coach one of the best tight ends in the league today in George Kittle. Although Gesicki is a talented tight end in his own right, he isn’t at the level of the elites. With the weapons in Miami, it’s unlikely Gesicki would be used in the same capacity. Coach Mcdaniels is confident that his pass catching ability is going to be a big part of the offense and will impress.
