Tyler Shough’s baby boy will be born just in time for the Super Bowl, which the quarterback will surely expect to play in. While the Saints are currently not doing well as of now in the season, this latest news might inspire Shough to do well from this moment onwards.

Shough’s journey in the Saints until now has been pretty dramatic, with the rookie getting a sudden promotion after Derek Carr announced his retirement. While the rookie is definitely talented, the team seems to be struggling to get all their players coordinating well at this point.

Tyler Shough Might Soon Be Replaced In Next Season

In other news, Tyler Shough might soon get replaced in the next football season by a new rookie as per analyst Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz. Middlehurst-Schwartz stated that Shough needs to prove himself for the Saints pretty soon, and that if he does not, the team might look for someone else.

“A franchise with a decades-long habit of being trigger-shy when it comes to selecting quarterbacks might be hard-pressed to go this route, especially if Tyler Shough continues to exhibit the promise he displayed in his second start. But unless the second-round rookie firmly establishes himself as New Orleans answer at the position in the back half of the season, (Fernando) Mendoza might be alluring. The Heisman-Trophy front-runner now also figures to be the favorite to be the first quarterback taken, with his game-winning drive against Penn State highlighting resiliency…” Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz wrote.

Nevertheless, Tyler Shough has actually been doing enough to impress Saints fans this season, even if the team’s current record is not so good. The Saints are far better when compared to the previous campaign and there might be even the slightest chance of them making it to the postseason as of now.
