Two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant is no stranger to social media. When he is not in the lab working on his game, he is on Twitter, either on his burner accounts or on his verified page, answering questions and clapping back at the internet trolls and other sports personalities on Twitter.
On Sunday morning, Durant took to Twitter once again to deliver a message to his friends in the NFL.
“Love to all the NFL homies; I appreciate all y’all do for fans worldwide. Have a fun and healthy season…let’s get it,” Durant tweeted.

Durant will be cheering for his Washington Commanders this season because he is a native of the DMV.
Kevin Durant is a Washington Commanders fan.
It has been heavily documented that Kevin Durant is a fan of the Washington Commanders. According to NBC Sports, when the team relocated from Southeast D.C. to Landover, Md., into P.G. County [Prince George’s County] was the main reason Durant became a fan. The stadium is only about ten minutes from Seat Pleasant, Md, where the member of the NBA’s top 75 team grew up.
“I can remember in ’97 when the team moved to P.G. County in Landover, it was just so exciting to finally see a team close to home,” Durant said during Washington’s virtual ‘Welcome Home Luncheon’ in 2020.
“Growing up behind the stadium and having a family that lived behind the stadium, I would always hear exciting plays,” Durant said. “I grew to be a fan over time and started to watch the team over time.”
Earlier in 2020, Durant reacted to a tweet from LeBron James about the name change from the Washington Redskins to The Washington Football Team.
Just waking back up from my pregame nap to see about The Washington Football team??? Is that real?? No way! Oh man, they had a thorough, intense long board meeting about that one,? huh.
