Tua Tagovailoa, quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, and his teammate Tyreek Hill seem to be butting heads over the latter’s comments on the team back in January. After a particularly disappointing game, Hill announced that he needs to leave for better pastures, a comment that was definitely not well-received by fans and his teammates alike.

Now, almost at the end of the offseason, Tagovailoa recently discussed Hill’s comments, remarking that it was certainly not tasteful and that the wide receiver should have known better. Tagovailoa spoke to reporters during the training camp recently and called out Tyreek Hill for not being more accountable.
“I would say from that comment last year, it’s not like only one person was going to hear that,” Tagovailoa said. “Cheetah (Hill) had to have known that, ‘Okay, if I’m saying this, you know, I’m gonna make sure the team knows, I’m gonna make sure the quarterback knows, Imma make sure the fans know, Imma make sure everybody knows …’ Could that have been in the heat of the moment? Sure, you could say that. But at the end of the day, it came out. Whether you portrayed it to be something different, because you’re competitor or not, that’s not up for you to decide. That’s stuff with people with their own minds to create that whatever they though that meant for them right?… I don’t feel it’s me talking bad about my teammate … I’m just trying to hold him accountable … If this is what we say the standard is then that is what the standard is and nobody is exempt from it.” Tua Tagovailoa spoke to reporters about Tyreek Hill’s comments.

Tua Tagovailoa’s Tyreek Hill Comments Gets Asante Samuel’s Attention
After Tua Tagovailoa spoke about Tyreek Hill, the quarterback has brought about mixed reactions regarding his performance and his career. Many analysts and hardcore fans have lavished praise on the quarterback for standing up for his team and showing some spunk.

Former NFL cornerback, Asante Samuel, was one to come out and shower Tagovailoa with compliments in the latest episode of his YouTube show. Samuel admitted that while he was not too happy with Tagovailoa’s career as a quarterback, his recent remarks about Hill show a newer and refreshing side to himself as a team leader.
