Tua Tagovailoa, quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, called out wide receiver Tyreek Hill for his comments about leaving the team back in January. Tagovailoa recently spoke to reporters on Wednesday when he was asked about his relationship with Hill, especially after the wideout said “I’m out” after a game in January.

Hill seems to have almost immediately moved on from those comments and is currently training to put out a better performance for the team in the upcoming NFL season. Hill also admitted that he regrets the person whom he was in the previous NFL year and that his numbers back then don’t reflect the player he is. However, Tua Tagovailoa has clearly not forgotten and remarked to reporters that the wide receiver is focusing on himself when he should be focusing on others.
“When you say something like that you don’t just come back with ‘My bad.’ You gotta work that relationship up. He is working on himself,” Tua Tagovailoa spoke to reporters during the training camp on Wednesday about Tyreek Hill’s postgame comments back in January.

Tua Tagovailoa will be gearing up for the fifth season with the Miami Dolphins and will be eager to put out a better record when compared to the previous year. In the 2024 NFL season, the quarterback chalked up a total of 19 touchdowns for the team, but his performance was definitely not enough to get the Dolphins to the playoffs.
Tua Tagovailoa Discusses Team Culture After Training Camp Begins
On Wednesday, Tua Tagovailoa was also asked about his opinion on the team culture and camaraderie he shares with his teammates. The starting quarterback seemed definitely excited to get back in the locker room with his teammates, talking about how much he missed his buddies and their conversations.
“I think every year you want to think it feels different, You want to say it feels different. It’s like any other year. You miss the guys, you miss the camaraderie, you miss the locker room talks. You just miss that community in a way. It really is a different world when you step into the locker room.” Tua Tagovailoa said to reporters.

Tagovailoa also admitted that he hoped to be more “selfless instead of being selfish” in this football year. Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins will be kicking off their 2025 NFL campaign with a matchup against the New England Patriots in Week 1.
