Tampa Bay’s training camp has been quite eventful. The offensive line and wide receivers has been the main focal point of new coming out of camp. Today wasn’t any different as Tristan Wirfs was carted off in practice today.
Wirfs is the second veteran starting lineman to go down in an already rebuilt offensive line. A few days back Ryan Jensen was put out of action for months with a significant knee injury. Then back in free agency Alex Cappa signed with the Bengals and Ali Marpet retired. This caused both guard positions to have new faces this season. With center, Jensen’s injury the whole interior is new with only the tackles still there from last season. So you can imagine the mood took a blow when Wirfs went down.
Thankfully it’s nothing significant from what we have been told so far. Tristan Wirfs had to be carted off after suffering severe cramps. I know everyone in that locker room is hoping it’s minor as we are as well. I’ll keep you posted as I hear more details. In the meantime check these NFL news out.
