After Saturday’s crushing playoff loss to the Chiefs, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence had one thing on his mind “We will be back.”
The first game of the Divisional Round lived up to it’s billing on Saturday, but just as any playoff run someone’s season has to come to an end. If there is a team that should feel good about where they are headed, its Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars. The future had not quite arrived, but “objects in mirror are closer than they appear”.
In the opening statement of his postgame press conference the Jaguars quarterback made sure to emphasize this wasn’t the end of the road for Jacksonville stating “we’ll be back, I’m confident in that. This is more the beginning than it is the end of something. This is just getting started for us.”
Lawrence later stated what the mindset and expectations will be heading into the offseason saying, “We got a taste of it, being here, but there’s more left and we all feel that.”

Lawrence’s leadership was on full display after Saturday’s game as he congratulated each of his teammates as they left the field for what would be the final time in the 2022 season. Jacksonville has a lot to look forward to having a franchise quarterback and a head coach that can pull all the right strings.
This Jags team is the furthest thing from the one hit wonder team of 2017. Trevor Lawrence will make sure of it.

A couple hours after the game, Trevor Lawrence made sure to let the DUUUVAL faithful on Twitter this team has a lot more to prove.

If his words aren’t convincing enough, this play should prove without a doubt that Trevor Lawrence is willing to lay it all on the line for the team. Explicit, but with the season on the line this play had a little extra juice to it. This is what it’s all about at the highest level of competitive sports.

Will the Jaguars be back? Time will tell, but it appears they have the right signal caller and a slew of young talent around him.
