Trevon Diggs, Dallas Cowboys cornerback, has been in the news recently after being called out repeatedly by the team management for missing training camp due to rehab. Diggs, who has been struggling with an ACL injury since the 2023 season, has chosen to undergo rehab in facilities other than what the Cowboys provide, for which he has been given a pay cut.

His absence from training camp was not the only thing that Diggs was called out for by none other than team owner Jerry Jones. Jones also felt that Diggs, being one of the senior players and also one of the most highly-paid players, should be setting a better example for others. Recently, Jerry Jones’ son, Stephen Jones, echoed his father’s sentiments in his conversation with ‘105.3 The Fan’.
“We expect leadership and we expect him to be here. He paid the price for not being here, but we’re paying a price too. We feel like he’d be further along had he done his rehab here. He might differ with that.” CEO of the Dallas Cowboys, Stephen Jones, said to ‘105.3 The Fan’ about Trevon Diggs.

Trevon Diggs, in a recent conversation with DLLS’ Clarence Hill Jr., remarked that he is pretty confident of his ongoing rehab and expressed that he might even be ready to play for the team right from the first week of the regular season. Meanwhile, others like Jerry Jones and his son, Stephen Jones, have not felt the same level of confidence, mainly because Diggs is undergoing rehab elsewhere.
Trevon Diggs & Dallas Cowboys Look Forward To A Better Season
Both Trevon Diggs and the Dallas Cowboys are hoping that the upcoming NFL season goes better for them than their previous one. Diggs managed to play 11 seasons in the 2024 NFL season before his left knee, which he had injured back in 2023, gave troubles and ended his season. After undergoing surgery and thorough rehab for the same, the cornerback is eager to show off his skills on the field in the upcoming year.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys will hope that they get closer to the Super Bowl at least this time out after quarterback Dak Prescott’s hamstring injury pushed them out of the playoffs in the 2024 season. Prescott is fully recovered now, and the team has pinned even bigger hopes on him as they keep their fingers crossed for the 2025 NFL campaign.
