Michigan is coming off winning the National Championship last season in college football, and it came with a lot of craziness that only Michigan fans could find a way to defend.
The Wolverines were involved in a major cheating scandal involving illegally recording the team’s sidelines and stealing their signs. This scandal got former head coach Jim Harbaugh suspended by the Big Ten for the last three regular-season games. Still, the Wolverines managed to win every single game last season, and now they are waiting for an NCAA investigation to see if their title will be taken away.
Michigan fans were in denial last year when the cheating scandal was brought up. Even though there was evidence of the team cheating, they still couldn’t believe it; how a fanbase that fights with every other fanbase about everything was not ranked in the Top 50 hostile fan bases in sports should also be investigated because it doesn’t make any sense.
Michigan Gets Lucky Not Being In The Rankings
Big Game Boomer, a major social media network, ranked the top 50 hostile fanbases in sports, and Michigan was nowhere to be found. Their biggest rival, Ohio State, came in at number four, and there is no arguing that because they are just as hostile as Wolverine fans, but not having Michigan on the list is laughable.

Even Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Maryland made the list, and there is nothing hostile about those fanbases. Wisconsin has one of the coolest fan bases in college football, so putting them on the list is a joke.
Of course, Michigan fans reacted positively to this, and fans of opposing teams didn’t react well, so they took to social media to share their thoughts.
