Michigan just won the national championship six months ago, and there was a lot of turnover on the team, including their head coach, Jim Harbaugh, who moved to the NFL. Luckily for the Wolverines, they brought back one of the best players in the country. On Wednesday, he was rated the number one overall player in the new NCAA 2025 video game coming out next week.

Maize Team defensive back Will Johnson (2) warms up during the spring game at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Michigan’s starting cornerback, Will Johnson, is the best in the country. When the 2025 NFL Draft rolls around next April, there is a chance he will go number one overall or at least be the first non-quarterback taken, and he sits at the top of the new NCAA 2025 player rankings with a 96 overall.

LSU’s Offesive tackle Will Campbell and Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II are also rated at 96 overall, but Campbell is ranked first among them.

Michigan will have a great season again this year, even though people are counting them out after most of their roster went to the NFL this season. Still, they keep Will Johnson and return the best defensive tackle in-game in Mason Graham, so don’t count out the Wolverines yet.

Many Michigan fans loved seeing Johnson as the number one overall player in the video game, and here are some of their reactions.
