Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, still has a lot more juice left in his tank, despite him churning out unimpressive numbers for the team in the last NFL season, according to NFL analyst Emmanuel Acho. Acho discussed Kelce’s performance on ‘The Facility’, remarking that the tight end is still a formidable force on the field even though he did not do too well in the previous season.

Kelce has proved to be one of the most valuable assets for the Chiefs, along with starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes. In the previous NFL season, the tight end managed only 97 receptions, scoring three touchdowns for the Chiefs, a complete letdown from his former seasons. This has even led to the speculation that the tight end might actually not play in the upcoming NFL season and may simply retire from the game.

“I think he’s lost a step, and I saw it on tape last year. Travis Kelce struggled more than ever beating man coverage… but give me one more year to truly confirm whether he’s no longer the great Travis Kelce. Let Travis Kelce confirm that he’s lost a step, then you can no longer fear the Chiefs. This year I’m still going to fear him.” Emmanuel Acho spoke about Travis Kelce in ‘The Facility’ on Monday.

Travis Kelce also seems to have accepted that he did not perform well for the Chiefs in the previous NFL season. The tight end was apparently apprehensive because of the intense media scrutiny covering his highly publicized relationship with pop singer Taylor Swift. Swift also showed up to the Super Bowl to cheer Kelce on, who failed to score even one TD for the team against the Eagles.

Travis Kelce Slims Down For Upcoming NFL Season

Travis Kelce is all out to show better numbers with the Kansas City Chiefs in the next football season. According to sources, Kelce is reportedly losing weight, 25 pounds to be exact, before the start of the 2025 NFL season. With his weight loss, Kelce will be lighter on his feet and more agile, which will help him put down more scores with the Chiefs.

Meanwhile, it also looks like Kelce has come to terms that his relationship with Taylor Swift will always make headlines. After his disastrous Super Bowl performance, Kelce and Swift have been keeping their heads low to bring the focus to themselves and their relationship. The two are also reportedly looking for a forever home together to settle down in.
