Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, recently invited his mother, Donna Kelce, as a special guest on his podcast ‘New Heights,’ which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. Donna Kelce’s presence was a treat for Mother’s Day.
The episode revealed many childhood stories from Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce’s lives, including several shenanigans between the two. Donna Kelce narrated one particular incident in little Travis Kelce’s life where his mother had some major explaining to do at his school.
“You used to run around the house with this towel over you and these in this chip clip. And so the chip clip, you know, cut your neck right there. And so we went into preschool and you told everybody that they asked you how that happened. And you told everyone that it was your father and that he cut you with a knife. So I said, well, wait a minute. He’s not home. He’s at work and he’s in Mexico right now. So they looked at me like it’s me. You’re protecting me. And it was me that cut him with a knife. So I had a lot of explaining to do.” Donna Kelce said about Travis Kelce in the ‘New Heights’ podcast.
Travis Kelce also continued with the topic, mentioning how he thought his father would have handled the situation. The tight end joked that his father, Ed Kelce, would have probably held a knife to his neck just to play-scare him a bit.
Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce do share a strong bond as brothers, despite having played for different teams in the NFL. Travis Kelce plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, while his brother, Jason Kelce, played for the Philadelphia Eagles for a number of years before finally retiring in 2023.

Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift Skip Met Gala, Much To Disappointment Of Fans
Meanwhile, Travis Kelce and his girlfriend Taylor Swift skipped the star-studded Met Gala on Monday. Kelce and Swift were highly expected to attend the event for the first time as a couple, but disappointed fans and the media by not attending Anna Wintour’s biggest night.
Apparently, Taylor Swift has a busy schedule and couldn’t make it, and in order to support her, Kelce chose to skip it too. Travis Kelce and Swift have been keeping their heads low after his Super Bowl defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles. The two are reportedly taking time off to focus on their romance and get some private time as a couple.
