Taylor Swift was not an attendant of Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings game, where rumored beau Travis Kelce sustained an ankle injury. Airing on prime-time TV, commentator Jim Nantz reiterated to the people watching from home that Swift was not at U.S. Bank Stadium.
“In case you’re wondering, seven words I never thought would leave my lips in my career: Taylor Swift is not at the game,” Nantz announced. “That’s a first. I’ve never said that before. There’s some brokenhearted people I just saw in the stands.”

Travis Kelce Suffers Apparent Ankle Injury
After making a catch from QB Patrick Mahomes, Kelce seemed to have lost his footing, slipping on the turf, resulting in a non-contact ankle injury. X-rays came back negative and he was able to return to the game and helped score a touchdown.

Many online started to point Kelce’s injury towards the dubbed “Taylor Swift Curse” – something similar to the Madden Curse — a reference to bad luck happening to a player after they’ve been on the cover of the Madden video game each year.
The budding romance first transpired in the public light when Swift was seen in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium with Kelce’s mom, Donna. The following week, she and some of her celebrity friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were seen cheering the Chiefs on against the Jets at MetLife Stadium. Since then, Kelce jersey sales have skyrocketed, and Chiefs ticket sales have gone up as Taylor Swift fans are attending games in hopes they’ll get to meet the woman of the hour herself.
However, Swifties were quick to defend Taylor, saying she wasn’t to blame for the injury, but rather the artificial turf might be the reason instead.
I’m so devastated for Taylor 🩵🤍 We KNOW how much Travis makes her happy. She had to be so worried right now. She finally has a man who shows her love back 💘 and he got hurt on ARTIFICIAL TURF?
This is so wrong. We can fix this. No. More. TURF! @NFL @taylornation13

The sports fans seemed to agree with Swifties, which is something we haven’t really seen happen, but if the swifties are on board with the removal of artificial turf, so is everyone else. Their impact is truly something else, but I guess when you’re behind the biggest music star this era has seen, anything can happen.
big silver lining here is that the swifties might be powerful enough to get artificial turf banned

If Swifties somehow get rid of artificial turf, I’ll play Evermore/Folklore for a month straight https://t.co/pbRdV5ioBJ

Taylor Swift might need to buy Chiefs season tickets, we don’t want Kelce getting hurt again because she’s not in attendance!
