Chris Broussard, Fox Sports 1 sports analyst, recently dropped his opinion on Travis Kelce’s future on Wednesday’s episode of ‘First Things First’. Kelce’s retirement rumors have been going around especially after his disastrous performance in Sunday’s Super Bowl.
Against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, the Kansas City Chiefs lost the game with a final score of 40-22. Kansas City’s quarterback Patrick Mahomes tried his best but could not get past 257 passing yards, with 21 completions out of 32 attempts, scoring three touchdowns. Mahomes also led the team on the ground with four carries for 25 yards. Tight end Travis Kelce managed only four receptions for 39 yards in that game in a disappointing performance.
“There’s nothing left for him to prove… I know he can pass with Jerry Rice. Jerry Rice still got that, but he’s already, by many people, viewed as the best tight end ever, maybe second best by some people, but he’s in that discussion. He’s clearly a Hall of Famer,” Chris Broussard said on ‘First Things First’.
“I would say retire. There’s nothing left for him to prove.”

Meanwhile, Travis Kelce himself addressed the rumors that he might retire after the Super Bowl defeat. As per his latest ‘New Heights’ podcast episode, Kelce remarked that he is not making a decision as per his retirement right now, and will only be there to support his teammates and his coaches.
Kelce looked completely heartbroken
after his team lost to the mighty Eagles on Sunday, and he reportedly even skipped out on the Chiefs after-party. Reportedly, Kelce also did not leave the Super Bowl with his girlfriend Taylor Swift who faced some massive booing by Eagles fans during the game.

Travis Kelce certainly did not expect so much drama during his Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Apart from him losing to the Eagles, his retirement rumors spreading and his girlfriend getting booed, Kelce also found his ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole attending the game and supporting the Eagles.
Kayla Nicole, a fitness influencer, and Travis Kelce were famously involved in a romantic relationship before she called it quits back in 2022. Apparently, Nicole gave Kelce an ultimatum to get married, but Kelce was not ready.
Nicole was seen truly enjoying herself, but some NFL fans had other opinions. Some of them took to social media to call out Nicole for apparently being ‘obsessed’ with Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship and stalking them. One fan even went on to advise Kelce to file a restraining order against Nicole.
