Travis Kelce Shows Up With Guest For Training Camp
While there have been some adversities that the team has had to deal with over the course of the off season, training camp has reportedly been going very well for the team so far.
Today, the team had a very special surprise guest that came to practice with Kelce. In a video that was shared by the team this morning, the former Chiefs Pro Bowl quarterback Alex Smith joined Kelce as his guest, but really all of the team’s guest.
Everyone was thrilled to see the Chiefs legend, and Kelce was seen smiling ear to ear as they took the practice field. Kelce was Smith’s favorite target for years until Patrick Mahomes took the helm.
“Look who made it to camp today!” the Chiefs said in the caption of their video.

Alex Smith A Kansas City Chiefs Icon
Smith become a franchise quarterback with the 49ers, but had arguably his best years with Andy Reid and the Chiefs from 2013 to 2017. In that time he made three Pro Bowls and went to the playoffs each year.
Smith was one of the major forces behind launching Kelce’s career, and starting his journey to become one of the greatest tight ends ever. Kelce was a multiple time Pro Bowler well before Mahomes was in the NFL.
In those five years with the team Smith boasted very impressive stats totaling: 65.1-percent of his passes for 17,608 yards and 102 touchdown passes with only 33 interceptions. He was winner as well having a 50-26 as a starter. He had the Chiefs team getting very close to the promised land, and he was fundamental in the growth of Patrick.
Chiefs fans and NFL fans alike have only the greatest things to say about Smith. Not just as a player, and a man, but beyond that. Smith came back from one of the most gruesome injuries the league has ever seen, and for that he will always be remembered. Having him at practice could only be a huge help for the team’s energy and even the X’s and O’s.
It is great to see Smith back with Reid and Kelce!
