Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, made a stop by the ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ podcast recently spoke out about the intense on-field moment he shared with retired NFL linebacker in his first season in the league. Kelce and Matthews were caught in a pretty nasty squabble, which caught the young tight end by surprise and shock.
Kelce spoke at length about what exactly went down between him and Matthews, which ended in the rookie tight end being flabbergasted by the senior player’s behavior. However, it seems like everything is alright between the two players, with Matthews himself responding to Kelce’s narration and remarking that they both are BFFs now.
“It was that 2000s that first year playing. So it wasn’t 13, it was 14, but it was like, my first couple games playing, and I’ve had like maybe 10 catches up to this point in my career. And I’m going into Lambeau, and I’m thinking, this is Lambo. This is my moment… I see Clay Matthew I’m just like, ‘tha’s f*****g Clay Matthews.’ And I’m chasing him down. I kind of give him a hit, and I’m like, Yeah, motherf*****. And he stops, squares out to me, says, ‘Don’t f*****g ever f*****g talk to me. I’ll f*****g kill you,’ or something, something along the lines, ‘I’ll f*****g kill you.’ And I was just like, couldn’t even say anything after that. Travis Kelce has definitely come a very long way since then and is currently one of the best looked-up-to tight ends in the league today. Kelce will be entering his 13th year with the Chiefs in the upcoming season and seems to be eager to end the year with a much better record when compared to 2024.

In other news, it seems like Travis Kelce’s girlfriend’s close friendship with actress Blake Lively is definitely one for the history books. Both Kelce and Swift have completely cut off ties with Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and definitely have no intention of changing their minds anytime in the future.
Blake Lively named Taylor Swift in several private messages between herself and actor/director Justin Baldoni. Swift did not like the fact that her friendship with Lively was used as leverage by the actress and her husband to take over the production of the movie ‘It Ends With Us’.
