Travis Kelce shocked the NFL world when he decided to come back for another season in 2025.  Retirement rumors have been floating around for years now, and many thought a loss in the Super Bowl would be it for him.  However, there is one career path that he is currently quitting.

It has been announced that Jason and Travis Kelce will be taking a break from their popular “New Heights” podcast:

September will mark three years since the Kelce brothers launched “New Heights”, one of the world’s most popular sports podcasts. Last year, Jason and Travis Kelce signed a podcast deal with Amazon worth over $100 million.

But with the 2025 NFL season quickly approaching, Jason announced that their beloved program will be going on hiatus. A date for the next episode of “New Heights” was not announced:

“We have come to the end of the road. Travis is going to training camp as you all know. Whenever training camp starts, we take a hiatus from the pod, because it’s nearly impossible to do a podcast while somebody’s in training camp.”

Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs begin training camp at Missouri Western State University on Monday. The club’s first preseason game is on Aug. 9 against the Arizona Cardinals, though it remains to be seen if Kelce and Kansas City’s starters will suit up in that game.

Of course, it’s unlikely to be a lengthy hiatus. Amazon pays the brothers good money to churn out the widely-followed podcast, and the Kelce brothers have always been able to fit “New Heights” into their schedules despite demanding careers.

Jason Kelce retired from football after the 2023 season and was hired by ESPN as an analyst for “Monday Night Countdown.” Travis Kelce briefly pondered retirement after Super Bowl 59 but decided to come back for his age-36 season.

Kelce and the Chiefs will look to kick off the 2025 season on a high note when they play the AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 5. That game will be played at Arena Corinthians in São Paulo, Brazil, the first contest in the 2025 NFL International Series.

The Chiefs have dominated Justin Herbert and company, winning the last seven meetings dating back to 2021.
