Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, did not exactly have the best season of his career in 2024 ,and this is common knowledge. The tight end himself remarked that his performance in the 2024 NFL season was quite sub-pa,r and many NFL analysts have been weighing in on what might have gone wrong for the otherwise talented player.
Kelce’s performance was most particularly abysmal during the Super Bowl matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, for which he was trolled heavily online. After the Super Bowl disaster, Kelce managed to stay low and away from the spotlight for a long time, clearly ashamed of his poor stats last month. In a recent episode of the ‘Breakfast Ball’ show, former NFL Eric Mangini discussed exactly this and what may have led to his terrible performance.
- “When you look at his offseason last year, it was filled with everything but football. So, he’s got the budding romance, he’s on tour, he’s traveling overseas, all that stuff, which is, which is great. Then he’s got the TV show. So, he films the TV show. Good with that, too. Then he’s got the podcast. So he’s got so many things in a shortened season be which, you know, you’re hoping the guys are going to get away from football and decompress, but not get away from football and 50 other things… I’m not angry at him taking advantage of the opportunities, but I do think that put him a little bit behind the eight-ball going into the season.” Eric Mangini spoke about Travis Kelce’s disappointing performance in the previous football season.
Travis Kelce, after the Super Bowl embarrassment, remarked that his performance was affected by all the media attention that his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift was getting. Swift was also present at the Super Bowl LIX matchup and was booed terribly by the crowd.
Travis Kelce Will Not Propose To Taylor Swift Any Time Soon
In other news, it looks like shippers of ‘Trayvis’ marriage will have to wait for some more time since an unnamed source close to Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift revealed that the tight end will not be proposing to her this year. According to the unnamed source, Kelce will get on his knees and pop the question only when he is not preparing for a football season.
At the same time, there are also rumors that Travis Kelce might retire from the NFL after this upcoming football season. If the insider source is right, one can expect a Kelce & Swift wedding next year.
