Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs already look like the top team in the NFL once again, cruising to a 27-20 win over a talented Ravens team in Week 1 of the NFL season.
The Chiefs are attempting to pull off a feat that’s never been done in the NFL by winning three-straight Super Bowls if they win another Lombardi trophy this season.
Kelce was always known by NFL fans, but the Chiefs’ tight end’s popularity has taken a meteoric rise since it became public last September he was dating global pop superstar, Taylor Swift.
Travis Kelce and Swift look like the real deal, despite rumors swirling that their relationship is a PR stunt.
So naturally, one would think Kelce would stand by Swift and her beliefs — and following Tuesday night’s presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump — the musician took to Instagram to give her endorsement to Harris.
In her endorsement for Harris and Walz, Swift called out the AI-generated image Trump shared on social media, where the singer falsely endorsed him for president.
“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” Swift wrote in her endorsement for Harris and Walz. “It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”
Swift went on to highlight the policies and values Harris stands for and stated they align with her own vision for the future of the country. She did make a point to urge all US citizens to vote, regardless of who they are voting for.
Travis Kelce Says He Would Visit White House Again If Chiefs Win Super Bowl And Trump Is Elected
Earlier this year, Kelce had and the Kansas City Chiefs visited the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl victory and the star tight end had a memorable encounter with the president.
Biden joked that he was going to let Kelce deliver a speech, but he wasn’t sure what the All-Pro would say. He eventually allowed the star tight end to speak at the podium.
“My fellow Americans, it’s nice to see you all yet again,” Travis Kelce said. “I’m not going to lie. President Biden, they told me if I came up here, I’d get tased. I’m going to go back to my spot, all right?”
So after Swift’s endorsement of Harris —which drove at least 337,826 users to visit the site vote.gov, a sign of the potential effect her decision to speak out could have on November’s election — one would assume Kelce is standing my his girlfriend
Vote.gov is run by a federal agency known as the General Services Administration, in partnership with the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. The site includes information about how to register to vote and cast a ballot, and directs users to state sites where they can register.
