Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, and Clay Matthews, retired NFL linebacker, had a pretty public tiff with each other during a game back in the 2014 season. Apparently, people are still curious as to what happened between the two players, and the KC tight end recently spilled the tea on their argument in his latest appearance on the ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ podcast.
Kelce spoke at length about not only his tiff with Clay Matthews, but several other topics in his appearance, including his relationship with Taylor Swift and what he expects from himself in the upcoming NFL season.
“And I’m chasing him down. I kind of give him a hit, and I’m like, Yeah, motherf*****. And he stops, squares out to me, says, ‘Don’t f*****g ever f*****g talk to me. I’ll f*****g kill you,’ or something, something along the lines, ‘I’ll f*****g kill you.’ And I was just like, couldn’t even say anything after that.” Travis Kelce said about his on-field squabble with Clay Matthews in his appearance on the ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ podcast.
“Allegedly* @tkelce We were BFFs by the end of the game,” Clay Matthews reacted to Travis Kelce’s explanation of their argument through his X account.

Meanwhile, Travis Kelce seems to have put all his energy in this NFL offseason to churn out better numbers for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2025 season. Kelce also revealed that he has not taken any major projects during this offseason for this very purpose, so that he can perform better in the upcoming year.
Travis Kelce’s GF Didn’t Rehearse For Her Surprise Performance At TEU
In the same podcast episode, Travis Kelce also revealed that his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, apparently did not rehearse for her impromptu performance at the recent Tight Ends & Friends concert. Swift performed an acoustic version of her popular song ‘Shake It Off’. It was clear that the performance was unplanned since Swift had to borrow a guitar for her song.

Nevertheless, Swift’s performance was perhaps the biggest highlight of the event, with all the attendees thoroughly enjoying it. This year’s Tight End University was even more special for Swift and Kelce who made their red carpet debut.

Taylor Swift was every bit the perfect girlfriend for Travis Kelce, mingling with the crowd and making friends with tight ends from other teams. Kelce and Swift also slow-danced to one of her songs, much to the delight of fans who continually ship their relationship.
