More Travis Kelce news continus to come out as the 2025 NFL season continues to inch closer in case you were wondering. There is still at least one more season before the future Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end calls it a career and hangs up the cleats, but he has made it known that he has an idea of what he wants to do when he is done catching passes.
What exactly does Travis Kelce want to do when he finishes playing with the Kansas City Chiefs? Let’s take a deeper dive into what he said.
Travis Kelce in the Booth?

Travis Kelce has let his personality show throughout his NFL career as he has been able to use his voice to entertain and inform about the game of football. While appearing on the most recent “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast, Kelce opened up about wanting to become a broadcaster after his playing days.
“I wanna see what calling a game feels like. Getting in the booth. I’ve always impersonated guys that call the games and stuff like that growing up. I don’t know, I thought it would always be fun to just jump in there. Player names is where I would get [expletive] ruined.”
Travis Kelce is entering his 13th NFL season at 36 years old and understands there is more football in the rearview mirror than there is going forward. However, he would join a laundry list of players to get into the announcer booth and call games. Most recently, Tom Brady called the Super Bowl, while Tony Romo, Cris Collinsworth, and Troy Aikman also have been color commentators on NFL broadcasts.
However, the one player who Kelce can relate to is Greg Olson as a high-profile player in the booth. It will be interesting to see how Kelce would be calling a game but if his “New Heights” podcast with his brother is any indication, it will certainly be entertaining.
