Kansas City Chief tight end Travis Kelce and his family have been vocal about their political stance, and it’s not something that they have ever—or will ever—apologize for.
Travis Kelce is not new to the spotlight. He comes from a family deeply rooted in sports. His older brother, Jason Kelce, is a celebrated NFL center who played for the Philadelphia Eagles and won a Super Bowl.
Their parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, have been supportive of their athletic pursuits, often attending games and cheering them on.
The Kelce brothers have often expressed left-leaning beliefs through their actions and statements.

Travis was one of the first white NFL players to kneel during the national anthem in 2017, showing solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. He has also participated in socially progressive sketches on “Saturday Night Live” and endorsed campaigns for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Jason Kelce, meanwhile, has made playful remarks critiquing right-leaning views, such as his comments about Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker’s controversial speech.
Travis Kelce Extends His Political Stance to His Lovelife
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift share overlapping political stances, particularly in their support for progressive causes. Kelce has been vocal about his advocacy for social justice, including kneeling during the national anthem in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and promoting vaccine awareness through campaigns. Similarly, Swift has publicly endorsed Democratic candidates and spoken out against misinformation and social injustices.

In the recent presidential election, Taylor Swift openly expressed her support for Democratic Parrty candidate Kamala Harris.
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Swift said in an Instagram post. “I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”
“I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate Tim Walz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades. I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice.”
