“‘I Like To Get Away And Recharge”: Travis Kelce Opens Up On Why He Avoids Family Time During Bye Weeks

Travis Kelce recently revealed what he likes to do during bye-weeks when he is able to get some time away from the game. In contrast to many other players who prefer to use this rest period to spend time with their families and stay home, Kelce likes to travel somewhere new as his mode of recharge.

Kelce spoke in detail about this in a recent episode of ‘New Heights, ’ where he admitted that he would still stay in touch with his game by watching matchups, but still would want to move around and travel to new places.

“I like to get away and recharge. You know, not everybody has the same feeling, and there’s a lot of guys out there that have families and they end up staying in town and all that. But I like to get away, recharge, see something else, see a new city, feel like I’m somewhere else and kind of just shut it down. I’ll watch the games on Thursday, Sunday and Monday, but I like to kind of get away being in Kansas City for 13 years straight, for eight months out of the year. It’s like that can be a nice home for somebody, but at the same time, I’m somebody I got to move my feet, man.” Travis Kelce said.

For this bye-week, Travis Kelce decided to take a quick getaway to the Big Apple with his fiancée, Taylor Swift. Kelce and Swift were spotted going out on the town for dinner dates, with the singer-songwriter also managing to get some girl time with her bestie Gigi Hadid.

On another note, Travis Kelce recently got fans wild when he and his brother spoke about Disney characters in a ‘New Heights’ episode. Jason and his family managed to go to Disney World sometime back and this led to the brothers talking about their favorite Disney characters.

Travis confessed that he cannot remember much other than the black-and-white Mickey Mouse, and his brother immediately retorted and stated that he will definitely have to learn plenty about Disney, leading to the Chiefs TE laughing.

Fans in the comments section immediately started speculating that perhaps Travis is expecting a baby with his fiancée, Taylor Swift. Swift, maintaining a pretty low profile this football season, just added to the fire, with some fans feeling that a pregnancy is the reason why she has been keeping away from the cameras at Arrowhead.
